Metamorphosis

I've finished my first painting yesterday. It's the painting that I started and worked on in my 6 art classes so far. It's titled Metamorphosis as a representation of the changes in my life. Of course, the first being, that I'm actually taking an art class and painting. Within the painting, I've tried to incorporate my new found love of reading, poetry, freedom to be myself to make my dreams a reality. It was also my first attempt at using different layers of collage material, acrylics, pastels, pasting, painting, use of a sharpie, glitter, gold touching, and experimentation with color all in one work.
