Here's the current painting I'm working on, inspired by my trip to Sedona. Just can't get the red out of my head. Working on 16" by 20" canvas, with acrylic paint- using a pallet knife and brushes . These are the various stages of it's metamorphosis. The painting is still evolving -with challenges to me including its compostition, and the painting of the cactus, rocks, depth, perspective and color. This is my third painting, the first one being done completely at home, not originating or worked on in art class.

Great metamorphosis. The colors in this painting are so true to life and the depth and layers of the most recent version are stellar! Looking forward to the next stage.
