I'm on vacation in Florida - bracing for what I hope is a hurricane that doesn't hit us here. It makes me reflect on these pictures and how insulated we can be within the safety net and confines of our lives. Yet in just one second-it can pop and the world we've been living in can change - never to be the same. These photos were taken on Madison Avenue and 98th Street in New York City.
"Beauty in a Bubble"
Through this week's turmoil of the earthquake and now Hurricane Irene, hoping you are safe -appreciating each of life's colorful blessings that surround us.

I love these pictures Jill, especially the last one. I bet you had a lot of fun chasing that bubble. You are so right about the world sometimes changing in the blink of an eye. Enjoy your time in Florida and be safe!
Brilliant and amazing to capture bubbles in photos like that Jilly!
WOW!
Life is so very fragile...it is indeed easy to take things for granted sometimes
Wishing you sunny skies for the rest of your vacation...hoping for the best

Great shots Jill! Love your iridescent bubbles, especially the third one. It's so sad that all those beautiful bubbles burst at the end.
Enjoy the rest of your vacation and be safe!
Hugs, Gaby
Wonderful catch of reflections …on the wavelength of colorful lights and thoughts.
Hope you will enjoy the rest of your vacation and stay clear of all the dangers. I think Mother Nature has shown what she has for now.
