Can't Keep it in Continued - Only this time...
I can't keep it in because Seth Apter from The Altered Page has posted his amazing work titled Nature's Beacon in my Designs In Nature book from our Innerworks collaboration.
His artwork and interpretation of my theme is so stunningly beautiful. Not only is it another brilliant work - overflowing with his notable stylized textures, layers, colors, patterns and design, but it is a very special gift to me.
My chosen book, I Lift My Lamp, written by Nancy Smiler Levinson, describes the role Emma Lazarus played in the Statute of Liberty. Seth used both the description of "Emma as a soaring spirit" and the "concept of light" as the inspiration for his artwork. Here are glimpses of the work Seth's included in my book.
Seth was the inspiration for me starting my own blog through accidentally finding and then being inspired by his blog. He has also been a part of my renewed interest in art, books, poetry and of course, BLOGLAND- such a magical, heartwarming and inspiring place to be. It's always welcoming and rewarding to go to our "favorites", but blogland can be equally exciting and exhilarating when we discover new, talented and generous artists to befriend, admire and collaborate with. And, speaking of collaborations, I'm sending again a very special thank you to Supria Karmakar who is the creator and inspiration for our Innerworks Team!
