Two Posts in One: My Bronx Painting and My Central Park Landscape
I'm happy to say I've completed my Bronx street scene painting. It's based on a photo I took while riding on the express bus to work. Something just clicked- in addition to the camera. The painting is on a 14" by 14" canvas, with acrylic paint used for the majority of the painting. There are a few lines made with sharpie markers, and a couple of small prints of photos I've taken for the signs and the back two buildings on the left. Although there are only a few small sections of graffiti on the painting,(in addition to one of the sides) I had fun practicing making graffiti- definitely not as easy as I had thought.
New Painting in Process:
Last night I started my last painting that I'll be working on in my art class, with just one session to go. It is based on a photo I took of Central Park from Fifth Avenue, also from the bus on my way to work. This project is a diptych, one scene divided into paintings that work together. Each painting is on a 12" by 12" canvas, with acrylic paint.

Both wonderful paintings...one completed and one in the works. Again, i am struck by the varied nature of your talent...from urban to nature, and back again.
