Here's a more uncommon Central Park view on an overcast evening looking at The Central Park Boathouse Restaurant from a man made lake in the foreground. I'm always mesmerized by reflections- in mirrors, windows, glass, water- everywhere that they may be. It's seeing a a duplication of a picture through light- with variations that are so unique to me - whether it's a distortion with a twist of view or an optical illusion. It always makes me think about what I'm seeing and its reference to our surroundings. A reflection is a flash from a moment in time -never to be seen again, but rather an echo of life with new threads.
A reflection is an echo in life with endless ripples that tell a story.
Here's the infamous Bethesda Fountain from behind- a view typically not seen in pictures.
And a reflection from the wooden restaurant dock with its evening light aglow - creating the most beautiful marbled pattern in the dark green water.
And one of my favorites - the sky and tree leaves' view as a reflection on the water.
Look carefully for what our eyes tell us isn't always what we really see.
Sometimes it's what we want to see, and other times, it's what we don't want to see.
The very best view is what puts the most outrageous smile on our face and lights up our heart with fireworks that makes our soul aglow.

A flash from a moment in time -- very poetic and very true. While the actual object may remain, the reflection is fleeting and ever changing. Beautiful images that have me contemplating sight and vision. And...that have me reflecting!
So true . . . "Look carefully for what our eyes tell us isn't always what we really see." Sometimes it is hard to differentiate what is reality and what is an illusion!
Sending loving thoughts and prayers your way . . . always!

I love reflections as well and you really captured some great ones!
Hi Jill, Your images, your poetry and your thoughts are all … an echo of our lives. You can always find the theme we all hear - because you know where we are. You certainly light up our hearts with your enchanting and magical art. To me its music.
